Bert Christopher Schovanec, 22, of Newtown, died tragically September 28, 2021. He was born in Danbury on March 2, 1999, and attended Newtown High School.

There are no words to describe what an amazing son, father, brother, and grandson Bert was. He would light up a room just by walking in. Bert had a heart of gold; his babies and family meant the world to him.

Bert is survived his 1-year-old son, Mason; his 4-year-old daughter, Rosalie; two brothers, Joshua and James Schovanec; his sister, Kiley Schovanec; his parents, Lori and Frank Schovanic; his grandmother, Jane Veach; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 7, at 11 am, in Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
