SOUTHBURY — A Newtown woman died as a result of injuries she received in a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Southford Road (Route 67) on Friday, October 4, Southbury police said.

Dead is Pamela Sheehan, 37, of Newtown. The accident is under investigation.

Police report that at about 3:45 pm, Ms Sheehan was driving a 2014 Toyota 4-Runner SUV southward on Southford Road, near its intersection with Curt Smith Road.

At that time, trucker Christopher Hannan, 44, of Southbury, was driving a 2003 Peterbilt Conventional 330 heavy truck northward there.

“Both vehicles collided. [Ms Sheehan] sustained fatal injuries,” according to the brief police report. Hannon was not injured.

Police accident diagrams indicate that the frontal sections of each vehicle made contact with each other in the accident.

Anyone with information on the accident is asked to contact investigating Southbury Police Officer Brianna Critelli at the Southbury police station, 421 Main Street South, 203-264-5912.
