To the Editor:

How many of you know William DeRosa? If you do not, I hope you get to know him in the next two weeks and vote for him for Legislative Council District 1 on November 2.

William loves politics. He will bring a unique point of view to the council, one that needs to be heard. He does not shy from controversy. He is willing to say “no” to spending he thinks is a waste of money, and “no” to state attempts to pre-empt local zoning. On the flip side he is a big “yes” to local control of Newtown’s future. He exudes positivity, and is one of the most enthusiastic persons I know.

His profession is as a Julliard-trained concert level cellist. He moved to Newtown in 2011 from New York City because, as he puts it, “its charm, authenticity, people, and sophistication.”

If you do not get a chance to meet him in person, go to the Newtown Republican website, www.newtownrepublicans.org, see his picture and read his biography. In fact, if you want to see and read biographies of any candidate go to the website and meet William’s running mates for District 1, Angela Curi and Lisa Kessler, and all other town offices. You will not be disappointed.

Sincerely,

Robert H. Hall

Newtown
