To the Editor:

We are writing to endorse Alison Plante for a second term on the Legislative Council representing District 3.

Alison is a successful working mother of three children who is always ready to take on a new challenge, whether that be stepping up to lead her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, serving on the Education Subcommittee or serving as the vice chair of the Finance and Administration Subcommittee during her first term.

Through our many years of friendship with her and her family, we have found Alison to be intelligent, practical, logical, and extremely even-keeled with an amazing attention to detail. We have witnessed her take on many challenges with a steady hand and level headedness, adjusting to pivots and speed bumps appropriately — something we all know the importance of all too well these past few years.

If re-elected, Alison hopes to continue making sound, long-term investments in our infrastructure and roads, and most importantly our schools,, which would benefit everyone in the long run.

We wholeheartedly wish that Alison Plante can continue fighting for Newtown; please re-elect her to a second term on the Legislative Council (D3).
