Voting Opens October 25 For Parks & Rec 3rd Annual Scarecrow Contest

Fifteen scarecrows were placed at lampposts throughout the Fairfield Hills campus by Sunday, October 23, for Newtown Parks & Recreation's Third Annual Scarecrow Contest. More were anticipated to be added in the following days.

Scarecrows were made by local groups as well as individual residents and their families.

All are in the running to win from the contest's three categories: Most Original Scarecrow, Newtown Pride Scarecrow, and People's Choice Scarecrow.

Voting begins during daylight hours on Tuesday, October 25, and ends Friday, October 28. Ballots and the ballot box are located within Newtown Community Center, 8 Simpson Street.

Winners will be announced Monday, October 31.
