Donald J. Ritchie
Donald J. Ritchie, 85, of Berwick, Penn., died October 23, at the Berwick Hospital Center. He was a lifelong resident of Milford, and he had relocated five years ago to Pennsylvania to be near his family. Born March 7, 1927, in Stratford, he was the son of Cornelia and Percy Ritchie.
He will be remembered by stepson Michael F. Whalen, Jr, and wife Diane; sisters Beverly Peterson of Newtown and Virginia Hampton of Milford; brother Kenneth Ritchie of Milford; two grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. His beloved wife Virginia (Wilcox) Ritchie and a brother, Allan, preceded him in death.
 Mr Ritchie proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II. After the war, he returned to Milford and joined Barnes Machine Company, eventually becoming general manager and partner, retiring in 1997.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, with interment in the family plot in the Milford Cemetery.
He is entrusted to the care of the Heller Funeral Home in Nescopeck, Penn.
