To the Editor:

It is my pleasure to write this letter of endorsement for Lisa Romano who is running for the state representative seat.

I have known Lisa for the last six years and have always admired her willingness to take on new and challenging situations. In the roles in which she has served, I have witnessed Lisa step forward to help with whatever is needed even though her hands were full with her own children and life. She improves the quality of life for others with caring and hard work.

Lisa is and has always been concerned that a quality 21st Century education is accessible to all students and that services are available to those who needed them. She likewise understands from experience the frustrations of a tight budget. These ideals will guide her in office so that Newtown can be well represented, from every position. Her approachable demeanor and down to earth personality are important in an era where government has forgotten that we need a representative government for the good of all, not for the sake of the party platform.

In fact, Lisa does not see party lines, she sees potential and opportunity. Have a chat with her and you’ll see what I mean.

For today’s modern issues and for a voice in office that will represent all positions fairly and with passion, join me in voting for Lisa Romano.
