To the Editor:

I want to thank my fellow Newtown residents for honoring me with your vote on Tuesday. I am immensely grateful to the Republican Town Committee, my family, my friends, and all those who supported me. Many people say, “Oh well, it doesn’t matter because my vote doesn’t really make a difference.” Your vote does matter. Every vote makes a difference. As a lifelong resident of Sandy Hook, I am excited for the opportunity to serve the town where I grew up. Together we can shape a community that reflects and stands up for the character of Newtown.

Congratulations to the winners and all those who volunteered their time to run in this election.
