Local Woman Charged With 17 Criminal Offenses

Police said they received a report of a burglary in progress at a Botsford Hill Road address about 10:26 am November 3, so they went there to investigate.

Police’s probe into the incident led them to charge a local woman with two offenses stemming from the situation, plus 15 other offenses which they listed in four separate arrest warrants against her based on past incidents.

Police said they arrested Jennifer Robson, 32, of 6 High Bridge Road on charges of third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny in connection with the November 3 incident at the Botsford Hill Road property.

A man told police that Robson had stolen some scrap metal that was being stored inside his barn. Police said they then found Robson hiding inside a pickup truck, which was parked inside a garage at her nearby residence. Police said the truck bed was loaded with scrap metal that had been stolen from the barn.

Also, on reviewing their records, police said they learned that they held four separate arrest warrants against Robson in connection with criminal investigations dating back to August.

One warrant lists charges of third-degree larceny, credit card theft, illegal use of a credit card, and second-degree forgery, police said.

Another warrant lists charges of sixth-degree larceny, credit card theft, illegal use of a credit card, and second-degree forgery.

Yet another warrant lists offenses of second-degree forgery, sixth-degree larceny, theft of a credit card, and illegal use of a credit card.

A fourth warrant bears charges against Robson of third-degree larceny, second-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree burglary, according to police.

Police held Robson on aggregate $60,000 bail for arraignment on the 17 charges on November 4 in Danbury Superior Court.

Robson was being held on November 5 on $25,000 bail in York Correctional Institution in Niantic for upcoming court appearances in her criminal cases, according to the state Department of Correction.
