Kathleen Jerolmon Walsh, age 68, of Marblehead, Mass., formerly of Newtown, passed away on Monday, November 1.

Kathy was the loving mother of Derek G. Walsh of Beverly, Mass., and Brittany K. Walsh and her husband, Taylor Wright, of Littleton, Colo.; the adoring grandmother of Logan Walsh; the dear sister of Walter Jerolmon, Jr, and his wife, Gloria, Gary Jerolmon, Robert Jerolmon and his wife, Nancy, and Mary Villamana and her husband, Jim, all of Connecticut; and the inseparable best friend of Meeche Macomber of Marblehead. She is also survived by her former husband, David Walsh of Marblehead, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Born in New Haven and raised in Newtown, she was the daughter of the late Madeline (Pilotte) and Walter Jerolmon. She graduated from Newtown High School with the Class of 1971 and earned a degree in interior design from Chamberlain College, Boston. She worked as a flight attendant at TWA and then its successor, American Airlines, for more than 40 years before her retirement.

Kathy was a longtime member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Marblehead. She enjoyed everything about the ocean. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and especially her cherished grandson Logan. He was the light of her life, and the subject of what seemed like all of her conversations. She enjoyed many trips to Devereux Beach, taking him for ice cream along with his friend Hanna, and her grandmother, Meechee.

Kathy’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 10, at 10:30 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Marblehead. Burial will follow in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen’s memory to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Marblehead.

Arrangements are under the care of Eustis & Cornell of Marblehead. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at eustisandcornellfuneralhome.com for the Walsh family.
