Newtown Community Center is planning its first monthly Winter Farmers Market, this month through February.

The market will be held in the community center, 8 Simpson Street, from 2 to 6 pm Tuesdays, November 14, December 19, January 16, and February 6.

Current participating vendors include Breezy Knolls Farm, Carrot Top Kitchens, Cross Culture Kombucha, Delavignes Gourmet Foods, Emalyn Sweets, The Healing Herb Garden, Healthy Eats Farm, Ideal Fish, Nick’s Catering, and Why Not Farm.

The community center is still accepting applications from food artisans/farmers who would like to participate. Anyone interested can contact Jennifer Cebry at jen.cebry@newtown-ct.gov to receive an application.

Cebry said she and other organizers “are excited to bring this new opportunity to Newtown! We see this as a great way to continue the Farmer’s Market, giving access to local farmers and foods throughout all seasons.”

The market will be held indoors, so weather will not be a concern. All are welcome.
