Who Killed Scrooge? TheatreWorks New Milfordâs Holiday Production Will Offer An Answer
NEW MILFORD â On December 2, TheatreWorks New Milford will raise the curtain on Ghost Of A Chance, an original holiday production full of mirth, music, and mystery the theater company offer for a five-week run.
With book and lyrics by TheatreWorks Artistic Director William Hughes, and music and lyrics by Steven Oliveri, Ghost Of A Chance was a popular and critical hit on the TheatreWorks stage when it was first premiered in 1997. Now this âsequelâ to A Christmas Carol is back with a few new Dickensian twists and turns, a colorful parade of puppets, and enchanting new music to match!
Following the redemption of everyoneâs favorite miser, it appears old Ebenezer Scrooge has fallen â or was he pushed? â to his death. His heir, nephew Fred, is now on trial for the murder. The testimony of a series of colorful witnesses reveals some truths, some lies, and a lot of laughs before the final verdict is heard.
Ghost Of A Chance will feature some of the areas finest actors (and puppeteers) including Glenn Couture, Keir Hansen, Nicholas Keir, Thomas Libonate, Krystopher Perry, Jonathan Ross, Joe Russo, Jeff Savage, Jackie Sidle, Todd Santa Maria, Missy Slaymaker-Hanlon, and John Stegmaier.
The play is being directed by Jane Farnol. The technical crew for the show includes Richard Pettibone and William Hughes, producers; Scott Wyshynski, technical director; Mary Kimball, seamstress; and Susan Tollis, puppeteer instructor.
