To the Editor:

Thank you to all of the residents of Newtown who came out on Saturday to support the volunteer firefighters of Newtown in their quest to stock the shelves of the FAITH Food Pantry. We received 55 turkeys, 72 boxes of food, and over $2,500 in cash and gift cards from both locations.

I want to thank Big Y and Stop & Shop for allowing us to stand in front of their stores. I would also like to thank Curtis Packaging for the donation of boxes for the collection. Lastly, I would like to thank my fellow firefighters and ladies auxiliary members who collected and delivered items to the pantry. I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving.
