Newtown Police said that road closures during the annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot will be in effect between 7:30 am and approximately 8:30 or 9 am as the race concludes. Road closures are in the following locations:

*Church Hill Road between The Boulevard and the flag pole on Main Street.

*Queen Street between Church Hill Road and Elizabeth Street.

*The full length of Glover Avenue.

The race begins at 7:45 am and features a new course this year; it begins and ends at Newtown Middle School, 11 Queen Street. For information and the new route, visit newtownturkeytrot.com.
