C.H. Booth Library, in coordination with Edmond Town Hall and the American Job Center of Southwest Connecticut, will host the Career Coach to Edmond Town Hall parking lot on Friday, December 6.

The bus will be parked at 45 Main Street, from 10 am until 3 pm. This month’s visit will include a four-hour Excel class, with break, onboard the mobile classroom.

Onboard the handicapped accessible Career Coach, learners will also find the latest technology, including ten student workstations, a 42-inch interior Plasma TV with Smart Board overlay, a dedicated server for quick response time, and lavatory.

The library now has a recurring spot on the schedule. Beginning next year, the first Thursday of every month will bring the Coach to Newtown, with a variety of classes that will help with job hunts and increasing workplace skills.

“I’m really thrilled we now have a regular place on the schedule,” said Booth Library Head of Reference Amy Schumann. “The Job Center has been kind enough to fit us in whatever holes they had in the schedule until now, but having a monthly date we can count on will be great for the community.”

Space is limited, so registration is requested. Visit chboothlibrary.org and then go to the program calendar to register.

For more information, contact Ms Schumann at reference@chboothlibrary.org or 203-426-8552.
