Christmas Coffee House To Offer Chrismons,

Shopping, Lunch And More At WUMC

WOODBURY — Creating chrismons will be on the menu of activities at Woodbury United Methodist Church’s annual Christmas Coffee House on Saturday, December 3, from 11 am to 3 pm in the church’s Fellowship Hall.

“Chrismons are gold and white ornaments that depict symbols of Jesus,” explains WUMC member and event chairman Mary Jo Zemitis. “This activity is sure to attract children and teach them about the Spirit of Christmas. The ornaments are beautiful and unusual, and we’re sure the kids will love making them.”

In addition to the Christmas crafts, another special feature of the coffee house will be a handmade dollhouse available at the silent auction. WUMC member Lynn Cullen made and donated the dollhouse.

WUMC will also offer lunch, a bake sale, a silent auction, and a gift boutique.

The menu will include quiche, soup, salad, sandwiches, apple pie and carrot cake, juice and coffee.

Tickets for lunch are $7 each. There will be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with chips and a cookie on offer for children, at $4 per child.

WUMC is at 3 Church Street, on the corner of Main Street (Route 6); telephone 203-263-4775.
