Newtown's Catie Gregory scored twice, including the game winner in overtime, as the Masuk High School-led co-op girls' hockey team defeated the Notre Dame-Fairfield co-op 4-3 in overtime at The Rinks at Shelton on December 13.

The Masuk team built a 3-0 lead with Newtown's Mia Paltauf scoring the third goal. Mackenzie Ciambra also scored in the win.

Notre Dame's squad rallied with three straight goals, including a pair in the third period, to force OT.

Friday the 13th was good luck for the Masuk team that won its season opener after going without a victory last winter.

The Masuk team also includes players from Joel Barlow of Redding, Lauralton Hall of Milford, and Shelton.

Notre Dame's squad has representation from Pomperaug of Sothbury as well as Milford schools Foran and Jonathan Law.
