George Samoskevich, 84, of Trumbull, died December 19, at St Vincent’s Medical Center. He was born in Bridgeport, the son of Nick and Veronica Samoskevich.

Three brothers, Peter of Newtown, Nick of Naugatuck, and Fred of Woodbury; one sister, Mary Palo of Bridgeport; and many nieces and nephews survive Mr Samoskevich. In addition to his parents, his sister, Veronica Samoskevich, predeceased him.

Mr Samoskevich was a retired machinist for Sikorsky Aircraft, where he was employed for over 28 years.

An Army veteran, he was a member of the American Legion Post 177. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and ardent beekeeper.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral service, Tuesday, December 31, at 11 am, at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be in St John’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call at the funeral home, Monday, December 30, from 4 to 8 pm.
