Occupation: I am a photographer’s representative for Stephane Colbert. I represent him to potential clients. We’re opening a photography studio in the Old World Trade Center building on Glen Road. I am also a Cub Scout leader for Troop 170 in Sandy Hook.

Family: I have four boys. Taylor is 16, Logan is 13, Luke is 10, and Timothy is 8 years old.

Pets: I have chocolate Labrador named Joshua. He is 4 years old. And I have four cats.

How long have you lived in Newtown? It will be three years in July.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like to go to the gym and I do like to read. I do scrapbooking, as well. I used to be a Creative Memories consultant when I lived in Florida. I go on a lot of field trips and nature walks with the scout troop. We do community projects and camp out in the summer, too.

What kind of books do you like to read? I read a lot of of self-improvement or professional development books. Right now I’m listening to the book, The Psychology of Winning by Denis Waitley, on my iPod.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? I want to go to Bora-Bora! I will go there sometime, I just don’t know when. I go to Florida about three times a year, to the Fort Meyers area, where I lived for eight years.

Who do you most admire? I think that would be Helen Keller. Despite all of her obstacles, she still rose to the occasion and went on to do great things. Also, Abraham Lincoln because he did great things for this country. He started out in a poverty situation and overcame it.

What is the best thing about Newtown? Growing up in California, I love the change of seasons here. I’ve also met a lot of great people. I ran the Farmers Market on Sundays in Sandy Hook for the last couple of years and I have been involved in the redevelopment of Sandy Hook Center. I just love the people here.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Find good in every situation. Even in the difficult times, something good can come out of it.

What is the most important lesson you have ever learned? I lost both of my parents. My mom died suddenly of cancer in 1993 and my dad died four years later, so I would say, treat life like there is no tomorrow. Live life to the fullest. Every day is a gift and you have to make the most of it. Treat each day as an opportunity to learn and grow.
