Letter Of Endorsement
To The Editor:
Newtown is a town with a character all its own. Our history, our sense of community, and our vision for the future deserve to be represented in Hartford. I’m asking for your vote to bring that perspective, and more than 14 years of local governing experience, to the State House of Representatives.
I know what it means to lead through challenging times. In the years following tragedy, I worked alongside parents, staff and residents to help restore security, rebuild trust, and strengthen our community. As chair of the Board of Education, I led through COVID, when families and educators faced extraordinary uncertainty. And throughout my local service, I worked to maintain essential services and keep taxes moderate even as inflation drove up costs. Those experiences shape how I lead: by listening, facing difficult problems directly, and bringing people together to get things done.
That experience will guide my work in Hartford.
I’m asking you to consider what I will bring to the job: a deep understanding of our community, a commitment to evidence and practical solutions, and a determination to make state government work for Newtown.
Our town has its own priorities, its own character, and its own vision for the future. I’m ready to bring that voice to Hartford and fight for the things that matter to us. On November 3, I ask for your vote — and the opportunity to serve Newtown in the State House of Representatives.
