Winter Walk

WASHINGTON — Get ready to spend a fun afternoon outdoors searching for signs of wildlife and learning basic winter survival strategies with Primitive Skills Practitioner Jamie Leffler.

Join Mr Keffler for a Winter Walk on Saturday, January 23, at The Institute for American Indian Studies, 38 Curtis Road.

How would you start a fire in snow? What could you eat? Where would you find shelter? These questions and more will be explored during the program, which will run from 12:30 to 2:30 pm. Cost is $8 for adults ($6 IAIS members), or $4 for kids. Connecticut educators can earn 0.2 CEUs for participating.

Don’t forget to dress warmly. Reservations are requested; call 860-868-0518.
