DEERFIELD, MASS. â Historic Deerfield will present a free lecture, âWool in New England: The World of Bed Covers,â on Sunday, February 24, at 2 pm, White Church Community Center, given by Lynne Zacek Bassett, independent scholar specializing in New Englandâs historic costume and textiles.

A vote for Michelle Embree Ku will only strengthen Lamont's majority party and encourage more stealth tax packages in the CT legislature and energy policies. Lamont also elected to shutter the trash-to-energy plant in Hartford creating a twofer: trash crisis and energy crisis. Michelle I applaud and support you for focusing on the issues that impact everyone in the town. The next priority has to be on CT's out of control electricity rates. Your opponent and his supporters are quick to blame the other side of the aisle and have given up on trying to accomplish anything. You need to be the voice at the Capitol that the town needs and has missed for so long.
