Mary M. Cosier, 78, of Wolcott and formerly of Milford for more than 50 years, beloved wife of the late Robert Cosier, died with family by her side February 2. She was born in Bridgeport, December 15, 1935, to Daniel and Anna Morris Birch.

Her siblings George Birch of Newtown, Daniel J. Birch, Jr, of Southbury, Teresa Schaer of Shelton, and Carole Stannard of Ocala, Fla.; her children: Kim Olson and James Cosier, Sr, and wife Rae Ellen; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Cosier. Four siblings predeceased Mrs Cosier.

She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW and was active in the St Ann 50+ Club.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday, February 7, at 11 am, in St Ann Church, 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit at St Mary’s Hospital, 56 Franklin Street, Waterbury CT 06706.
