Occupation: I work at a fabulous gift shop in town, Queen Street Gifts. I previously was a research analyst with a focus in application development tools at Gartner, Inc, and a program director, non-theatrical programming, at Vestron, Inc (remember Dirty Dancing?!).

Family: My superstar husband is Scott Davidow and our awesome daughters are Savannah and Annie. I also have three sisters.

Pets: We have two cats, Oscar and Ellie, and an amazing lab, Quinlan. Left to my own devices we’d have lots more.

How long have you lived in Newtown? Twenty-four years. I’m a Navy kid and we never lived anywhere more than two years or so. I’ve finally put down roots and tossed my moving boxes.

What do you like to do in your free time? Spend time with friends, which unfortunately has come to a screeching halt. I love to garden, play tennis, walk, cook, and be at the ocean. I also love movies, board games, and good books.

What is your favorite book? I love short stories and my favorite is “Bernice Bobs Her Hair” by F. Scott Fitzgerald from his Flappers and Philosophers anthology.

What is your favorite travel destination? Anywhere with a beautiful beach! I might’ve been a mermaid at some point.

What is the best part about Newtown? I love the spirit of Newtown. There are a lot of amazing and interesting people here. I have many favorite spots here, like Fairifield Hills and Holcomb Hill. I love the beauty of Newtown — it sometimes takes my breath away.

What organizations are you part of in Newtown? I’m on the board of The Exceptional Sidekick Service Dogs, and I work two rows at the Victory Garden. In the past, I’ve been on PTA boards and was a Girl Scout leader.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? Probably my Dad, Captain Ken Wallace. He was a highly decorated and regarded fighter pilot and leader of the Blue Angels three times, yet was very humble, thoughtful, and funny as heck. I’ve always admired his intelligence, calm, and bravery.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? That’s a tough one. I’m fascinated with songwriting, so I’ll go with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards; that’s two, but I’ve got a lot of questions!

Who is your favorite musical artist? Very tough to choose, but the Stones or Dire Straits. I have a very long list of girl singers like Linda Ronstadt, Ann Wilson, Chrissy Hynde, Darlene Love, Lady Gaga, and I sing their stuff at the top of my lungs.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? My Mom taught me to always be true to myself and follow my gut. Both have served me well.

What is something you cannot live without? My family, my friends, and the beach.

What is your proudest accomplishment? I’m proud of the life Scott and I have built together, and I’m proud of our two daughters and the parent I’ve been to them — they may differ in opinion. They are both in college now and it's fabulous to watch them flap their wings, stumble, and soar.

If you could travel to the past or future, which would you choose and why? Maybe back to the Roaring Twenties. I’m attracted to the age of optimism, creativity, artists, and writers. And who wouldn’t want to go to a party hosted by Jay Gatsby?

What is your favorite food? Caribbean. I could eat rice and beans and avocados and plantains every day.

What is your favorite TV show or movie? Now, that is close to impossible to answer! But I do think Veep is the best written, funniest TV show ever. I think Moonstruck is pretty close to perfect and I have a little ritual of watching it every Christmastime.
