Marie Manoni Bartomeli

Marie Manoni Bartomeli, 89, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Joseph P. Bartomeli, died February 23 at St Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, June 23, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Laura Perini Manoni.

In addition to her beloved husband of 68 years, survivors include two children, Sandra Burland, and her husband Kevin, of Newtown and Thomas Bartomeli, and his wife Patricia, of South Windsor; two grandchildren, Lisa Morgan, and her husband Adam, of South Glastonbury and Mark Bartomeli of Mystic; a sister, Josephine Ceccarelli of Bridgeport; two great-grandchildren; as well as several beloved nieces, a nephew, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Three sisters, Anna Piccirillo, Lena Patrignelli, and Jennie Manoni, predeceased Mrs Bartomeli.

She was a book manager for the former Walden Book Store in Trumbull for more than 18 years, and prior to that was proud to have been employed by the Southern New England Telephone Company.

In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing and later found great enjoyment cooking and taking trips to the casino with her friends and family.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place March 2. Entombment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
