School Board Unanimously Approves Middle Gate Waterline Funding
The Board of Education unanimously approved funding for the Middle Gate Elementary School waterline during its regularly scheduled meeting on March 2, moving the project forward for Legislative Council approval.
The school board hopes that construction of the estimated $500,000 Middle Gate waterline, reinstated in the five-year Capital Improvement Plan by the Board of Finance last November, can commence as early as this June.
The waterline would connect Middle Gate to the townâs main water supply, easing reliance on well water recently retreated for high coliform levels.
Payments for the project would come from a state loan that would not require reimbursement until the 2005-06 fiscal year.
