Moore Serves Newtown With Heart
To The Editor:
Over the past year, I have had the privilege of working closely with Brandon Moore.
What has moved me most is how deeply he cares about Newtown and the people who call it home.
When I ran for Town Clerk, Brandon stepped up to support me in meaningful ways. He knocked on doors, stood at the transfer station holding signs, and recorded a thoughtful video encouraging residents to support my candidacy. But what meant the most to me was not just the effort. It was the heart behind it. I could see how much it mattered to him. He believed in me, and he believed in a better future for our town. He understood what it would mean for so many people in Newtown, especially our veterans, to have someone in the Town Clerk’s office who would honor their service and advocate for them with care.
That is who Brandon is. He does not show up halfway. He invests himself fully. I have seen that same dedication in the many ways he gives back to our community. He ran the American Legion’s speech competition at Newtown High School this year, encouraging students to reflect on the Constitution and civic responsibility.
He supported the Turkey Trot, gave out Halloween candy to kids on Main Street while dressed as Buzz Lightyear, and energetically waved flags while marching in the Labor Day parade. He truly celebrates the community we are so fortunate to share. Brandon fought for our country, and I know he will fight just as hard for Newtown. His dedication is real.
His patriotism is genuine. He is authentic, honest, and kindhearted. Those are not just qualities that make a good friend, they are qualities that make a phenomenal State Representative.
