Bruce D. Gay

Bruce D. Gay, 67, of Huntington, a section of Shelton, a retired supervisor and consultant for United Illuminating Company, died on June 13 at his residence.

Born in Newtown, he was a son of the late Elmore and Nina (Searles) Gay. He was a former Bridgeport resident, before moving to Huntington over 25 years ago. Mr Gay was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Margaret (Spinelli) Gay; four sons, Timothy B. Gay and Thomas D. Gay, both of Stratford, Sonny G. Gay of Bridgeport and Andrew C. Gay of Milford; a daughter, Stephanie Heisler of Milford; two brothers, Earl Gay of Derby and Peter Gay of Somers; two sisters, Shirley Hanks of Bridgeport and Patricia Sweedler of Milford; seven grandchildren, Bruce, Jennifer, Stephen, Sara. Elizabeth, Christine and Ryan; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will start on Friday, June 15, at 11 am from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and graveside services will follow at noon in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.

Calling hours were scheduled on Thurs, June 14, 4 to 8 pm.
