Seed-To-Plate Fundraiser Returning For Real Food CT

Real Food CT (RFCT) is hosting its annual Seed-to-Plate local harvest celebration on Friday, August 4, from 5 to 9 pm. The event is moving this year, to NewSylum Brewing Company, 36 Keating Farms Avenue.

Guests will enjoy the bounty of summer generously donated by area farms and artfully prepared by talented chefs Pam Buchler of Aquarian Catering, Steve Forgione of Phinney’s, and Matt Kirshner of Uncle Matt’s Bakery.

Dan Tressler and Amber Anchor will return this year to provide musical entertainment for a celebration of food and community.

This event is the main yearly fundraiser for Real Food CT, an organization based in Newtown and founded on the belief that everyone everywhere deserves access to healthy food. Organic produce is grown in two Giving Gardens and donated to hunger relief organizations and communities in need.

RFCT is also committed to training young farmers and educating and energizing a growing community of people who care about healthy food.

The Second Annual Seed-to-Plate Local Harvest Celebration will feature locally sourced ingredients from multiple farms in the area.
