Revolutionary War Re-Enactors

To Appear At Danbury Museum

DANBURY — On Saturday, August 14, Danbury Museum & Historical Society will host 12 Revolutionary War re-enactors on its 43 Main Street campus from 10 am to 4 pm as they re-create various specialty roles from the Revolutionary War period. There will be a surgeon, a tinsmith, musicians and much more.

The public is invited to join museum members as they continue to honor the role of Danbury’s Revolutionary War heroes, its supply depot crafters, artisans and artificers who helped to win the Revolutionary War.

Parking is available on Main Street in Danbury and in the Super Food Mart parking lot adjacent to and behind the museum.

The program fee for attendees is $5 per adult, $4 for members and seniors, $3 for children under 12. All proceeds will go toward the Danbury Museum’s continued efforts to restore, renovate and rebuild its Main Street campus.

If weather is inclement (rain or excessive heat) the event will be rescheduled for spring 2005. Call Brigid Guertin at the museum, 743-5200, for additional information in advance or on August 14 if weather is questionable.
