*Boston-bred alt-rock band GODSMACK will headline at Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, October 19. A regular opener for Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin will be opening the Connecticut show.

Tickets are $35 and will be going on sale this morning (Friday, Sept 15), through TicketMaster vendors. Remaining tickets will also be available at the arena’s box office beginning Saturday.

*Tickets will be on sale Saturday morning for what sounds like an incredible show coming to Connecticut.

THE WHO’s “uncut.unrepentant.uncensored” tour will be at Mohegan Sun on Friday, December 1. The Pretenders will open.

Tickets start at $87 and are also $127, $177 and $202, and will be available through TicketMaster vendors beginning at 10 am Saturday. Remaining tickets will also be available at the arena’s box office beginning Sunday morning.

*LISA FURMAN will perform Celtic bluegrass this weekend at Mocha Coffee House in Sandy Hook. Lisa’s is a Friday night show, running from 7 to 10 pm.

On Saturday, DAN LYONS returns to the coffee house, and September’s calendar continues as follows: September 22, MARCO LAVARBERA; September 23, JOHN VOKET; September 29, SHAWN TAYLOR; and September 30, JOHN FAZIO and AARON CERRICK.

*Minnesota-born JONATHAN EDWARDS, perhaps most famous for his hit gold record and Billboard hit Sunshine, the deceptively upbeat song that was a protest against the Vietnam War, will headline FTC Stage One in Fairfield on Sunday, September 24. Tickets for the 7:30 show, which will also feature Lisa McCormick, are $32 for FTC members, $42 for the rest of us.

This weekend the theater will host a concert called “Legends of The Blues: History in the Making,” with performances by ROCKY “JELLYROLL” LAWRENCE, DAVID “HONEYBOY” EDWARDS, ROBERT LOCKWOOD JR and STEVEN “BLINDLEMON” McLEAN. Tickets for that show, on Saturday night, at $72 ($62 for members).

Country singer, songwriter, composer and musician HAL KETCHUM will headline, with Cinnamon Sky opening, on Thursday, September 28 (tickets $52/$42).

THE ALTERNATE ROUTES, a Fairfield-based rock band, will headline the following night. The September 29 show will be recorded for a live album. Cinnamon Sky opens ($17/$12).

And then on the 30th, saxophone legend GREG PICCOLO, who spent 25 years with the Grammy-nominated, world renowned ROOMFUL OF BLUES (serving as bandleader, lead singer and tenor sax man, 1978-1994), will headline with his band Heavy Juice. Tickets are $37 for the public, $27 for non-members, and The Johnny Boots Band will open.

*ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS will pull into Connecticut on Friday, October 27, playing an indoor show at The Dodge Music Center in Hartford. Tickets go on sale Friday morning, all priced at $29, but be sure to specify if you want access to the pit when you purchase those tickets. Gym Class Heroes, The Format and The Starting Line will have opening sets.

*Singer-songwriter AIMEE MANN, who of course rose to pop fame in the 80s before evolving into one of America’s most evocative songwriters, will headline at Fairfield University later this month. Mann will by at the university’s Quick Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 30.

Acclaimed British singer-songwriter David Ford, who recently toured with Gomez, will open for Mann.

Tickets are $35 and $40 and can be reserved by calling the Quick Center’s box office at 203-254-4010.
