On Monday, September 13, James Robert “Bobby” Miller passed away at the age of 61 in his home in Cheyenne, Wyo.

Bobby was born on August 6, 1960, in Bridgeport to Sadie Scales Miller and Leland Miller and was raised in Newtown. He served in the United States Army. Bobby spent time detailing cars and planes before moving out west to Cheyenne, where he spent his final years with his partner, Roseta Thor.

Bobby loved music and spent some time as a member of the Naugatuck Community Choir. He is known for his love of cars, ‘80s movie one-liners, and his infectious laugh.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Leland; his mother, Sadie; and two brothers, Eddie and Terrance Miller.

He is survived by his two children, Christopher Miller and his wife, Karina, of White Plains, N.Y., and Amy Taylor and her husband, Jeffrey, of New Milford; his brothers, Charles Miller of Rocky Hill and William Miller of Clifton Forge, Va.; and his six grandchildren, Sadie, Emma, Lucy, Amari, Lily, and Olive.
