FFH: Keep It Clean

To the Editor:

My husband and I walk our dog almost every night along the trail at Fairfield Hills. We are responsible dog owners who pick up after our dog and keep him on a lead at all times.

During our walks we really don’t find a lot of messes left from other dogs. What we do see when we walk past the soccer fields are water bottles, T-shirts, and other debris left by the players when the game is over.

We feel that this issue also needs to be addressed to keep the area clean and pleasant for everyone who uses it.

Possibly another garbage bin near the field would be the answer.
