The 2025 Newtown Arts Festival, blessed with perfect weather, attracted significant attendance numbers last weekend when it celebrated the event’s 13th anniversary.

The Festival, staffed entirely by volunteers, presented dance, music, art, a Make It and Take It tent, fiber arts and activities presented by Everwonder Children’s Museum.

For the first time, Ben’s Lighthouse joined the Festival with craft activities and puppet shows twice each day.

As ever, attendees enjoyed our Wine and Beer Garden, food trucks and our signature shade tents.

From high school students to retirees, our volunteers were the foundation onto which we built our events.

The success of the 2025 Newtown Arts Festival will enable the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission, which sponsors the event, to continue to award scholarships to Newtown graduating seniors who are majoring in the arts. The Commission also awards grants to Newtown artists and organizations that expand the arts in the Newtown community.

The work that our volunteers, and all our partnering organizations, especially Newtown Savings Bank volunteers, who man the entrance, and members of the Newtown Board of Realtors, have done has enabled attendees to embrace and experience the arts on a new and more accessible level.

To all the volunteers, on behalf of the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission, we thank you.

Next Newtown Arts Festival is September 18 to 20, 2026. See you there!
