A Candidate To Seriously Consider

To the Editor:

My endorsement of Mitch Bolinsky for State Representative is based on three overriding principles of character, competence, and hometown roots.

As a former teacher in the Newtown Public Schools, I had the honor of teaching both of Mitch’s children. In that capacity I was able to know Mitch as a family-oriented man who is greatly admired and loved by his daughter Rachel and son Matthew. Both are now very successful adults in their own right. Mitch has also cared for a parent with Alzheimer’s disease, while advocating strongly for a cure.

Mitch has intellectual depth and breadth, evidenced by his mastery of issues related to public finance, education, and social/community dynamics. His interpersonal skills reflect empathy and sensitivity to his constituents, evidenced by every person who has benefited from Mitch’s “servanthood” actions while assisting with challenging situations during very difficult times. Mitch’s competency is a significant gift that benefits our community!

Mitch loves Newtown. He is invested in all the relationships he has nurtured with individuals of all demographics. He has an authentic personality along with a seriousness of purpose and vision. Though he is politically adept to negotiate the challenges of “Hartford,” his most important skill is identifying with his constituents and the community. Many people simply call him a friend. Mitch has very deep hometown roots that are absent personal political ambitions.

With respect to character, competence, and hometown roots, the reasons to reelect Mitch Bolinsky as State Representative are most compelling and should be seriously considered by all voters.
