To the Editor:

It is my pleasure to submit this letter in support of Todd Higgins, incumbent candidate for the Newtown Board of Education in this upcoming election.

One of the qualities that truly sets Todd apart is his ability to make well-informed decisions, analyze current and historical data, coupled with his desire to help to build a school system for the future, all while seeking feedback and input from all stakeholders, including parents.

In his time on the Board of Education, Todd has spent a considerable amount of time asking thought-provoking questions, to gain a deep understanding of both the challenges and opportunities facing our educational system, from budget constraints to evolving curriculum needs. He has stated in many board meetings thus far he is committed to maintaining high educational standards and outcomes, for all students, finding innovative solutions to address the needs of the district in an effective manner.

Additionally, Todd has a vision for the district, and proven track record of getting things done. From his accomplished background as a trial attorney, an adjunct law professor, to guiding executive boards and nonprofit organizations across many industries, I trust that Todd possesses the skillset needed to evaluate what is best for the educational needs of our district.

Todd is a unifying force, capable of bringing people together to work towards common goals. I wholeheartedly believe that Todd has the vision, dedication, and leadership qualities necessary to drive positive change within our school district.
