To the Editor:

I am writing this letter of endorsement for Deborra Zukowski on behalf of myself as a citizen of Newtown for more than 20 years. This letter is not a representation of the Newtown Board of Education.

Being a member of the BOE takes dedication, patience, responsibility, and the ability to stand up for what is in the best interest of Newtown’s citizens, students, and school personnel. This is a great responsibility that I feel Deb Zukowski is well-suited to handle.

Deb, a trained engineer, has been a resident of Newtown for more than 17 years and served on many commissions and boards over that period. During her service to our town, she has demonstrated a work ethic and attention to detail that will serve all stakeholders very well. Most importantly, Deb’s focus on learning, climate, communication, fiscal responsibility, and helping students prepare for life after high school will put her in a position to be a positive influence.

In closing, when casting your vote for Board of Education, please consider voting for Deb Zukowski.
