Occupation: I am the owner of Enlighten Infrared Sauna Studio. When I’m not at the studio you can find me substituting at Hawley School right here in town.

Family: I live in Newtown with my husband Adam and our three children, Bryce who is 8, Grey (we call him “GG”) who is 6½, and RileyAnn who is 5.

Pets: We have two dogs, Marley who is Puggle (a mix between a pug and a beagle) and Sandy who is a mix between a beagle and a terrier (we call her a “Berrier”). You could say we have a chaotic lifestyle.

How long have you lived in Newtown? We have lived in Newtown for seven years. Adam and I were born and raised in New York. When I was getting married, I wanted a specific dress and the only place that had it in the tri-state area was Julie Allen Bridals. We took the hour-plus drive up to the bridal boutique and fell in love with the quaint little town. A few months later, we knew exactly where we wanted to settle our family.

What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time I love to exercise, read, and spend time with friends. That is when we aren’t ubering all the kids to their sports!

What is your favorite book? I read all sorts of genres, but I have to say my two all-time faves are The President Is Missing by James Patterson and Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty.

What is your favorite travel destination? My favorite travel destination would have to be Udaipur, India. We went on our honeymoon and it was just an incredible place filled with culture. As far as family destinations go, we just love Aruba!

What is the best part about Newtown? The best part of Newtown is the small-town vibe. It’s so amazing that such a geographically large town can make you feel like you know everyone. The community is always striving to bring people together with some offerings.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? There are a lot of important people that have shaped who I am today, but if I had to choose one influence it would be my grandmother. She is the true definition of a saint with an unbelievable work ethic.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? If I could spend the day with one person, it would be Jay Shetty. He is a modern-day life coach, author, and former Monk. He shares incredible advice on how to be truly happy.

Who is your favorite musical artist? My favorite musical artist is Thomas Rhett.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? The greatest piece of advice that I have been given is from a movie, and I carry it with me all the time to remember how I want to live life. It is, “I would rather have 30 minutes of wonderful, than a lifetime of nothing special” from Steel Magnolias.

What is something you cannot live without? I couldn’t live without Pilates. If you haven’t tried, hop in the car right now and head to Balanced Pilates Studio right here in Newtown! It is my happy place. And French onion dip!

What is your proudest accomplishment? My proudest accomplishment is my children. Hands down. Enlighten is a close second. I still think about how I randomly had a crazy idea one day and here we are.
