To the Editor:

Phoebe Holmes will bring intelligence, exuberance, experience and empathy to the CT State House of Representatives 107th District. A local to the Greater Danbury area, Phoebe grew up in New Fairfield, obtained a BA in Political Science from WCSU, and earned a Master of Education from the University of Bridgeport. She taught for two years at Newtown Middle School prior to getting married and having a child. Phoebe lives with her husband and son in Brookfield where she currently serves on Brookfield’s Zoning Commission and co-owns a small carpentry and renovations company with her husband.

As your State Representative, Phoebe will advocate for the climate, the environment, women’s rights, and reproductive freedom. She seeks to take down the high costs of gas and groceries, and provide good jobs, fair wages and an excellent education. As a mother and educator, Phoebe has seen the harm guns can do, and will fight to protect our communities by supporting common sense gun laws.

Phoebe has been endorsed by Run For Something, Moms Demand Action/Everytown for Gun Safety, CT Planned Parenthood, The Sierra Club, CT League of Conservation Voters, CT Against Gun Violence and the Connecticut Citizen Action Group.

She has also been endorsed by a number of unions and professional organizations including, but not limited to, AFL-CIO, CSEA-SEUI Local 2001, National Association of Social Workers, AFSCME, and the Connecticut Employees Union Independent Local 511.

It is time for a change in the 107th, and Phoebe Holmes will be that change.
