Occupation: I’m the marketing supervisor of Brand Experiences at Amplitude Marketing Group, Inc., in Newtown.

Family: I’m the youngest of five children, with two brothers and two sisters. I also have seven nieces and nephews. We’re a very close-knit family, even with cousins, and enjoy spending time with each other. My father passed away in 2006 of colon cancer and so we come together for an event we created each year, to celebrate his life. We’ve always been taught to give back, and so we do that, to celebrate his life.

How long have you lived in Newtown? I’ve lived in Newtown for 28 years, grew up here, and went through the Newtown School System. There’s no place I’d rather be.

What do you like to do in your free time? I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Our beach house keeps us occupied in the summer, and I love going to concerts and sporting events. If I can be of assistance, I typically like to offer a hand and put my name in the mix to help. I am also serving  as chairman of the Sandy Hook Permanent Memorial Commission.

Do you have a favorite sports team? I went to UConn and was a manager for the men’s basketball team during my undergraduate years. I am forever indebted to that program and my experiences there.

Do you have a favorite vacation destination? Fairfield Beach. Not far, incredibly simple and perfectly enjoyable. It’s a house we’ve had for my entire life and have met incredible friends that we see every year.

What is the best thing about Newtown? The people. I grew up here and there are so many individuals that I look up to. I’m inspired by the people here who do so much to make a difference. Again, that’s how I was brought up. It’s about treating people right and doing the right thing. There are a lot of people who embody that in this community, and it’s something I respect.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? There’ve been a great deal of people that have influenced my life. My parents, for sure, taught me there is good in humanity and to seek out that positivity — to help others, as you never know their struggles, and to assure you take care of yourself along the way. My brothers and sisters inspire me for all they do, how they raise their families, and how they navigate life. I try and learn bits and pieces from each of them.

If you could spend time with someone from the past, who would you choose? That’s easy — my father, Tom. It would be interesting to see how he’d influence our lives today. I know he’d enjoy playing with his grandkids. He’d be right by our sides.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? Fountain sodas. They’re trouble, but unavoidable for me.
