Mario Deluca
Mario Deluca, 92, of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly from Brookfield, died peacefully December 31, surrounded by his family. He was born December 13, 1925, in Pelham, N.Y., the son of Teresa and Giovanni Deluca.
Mr Deluca was a union carpenter for many years, employed by B.J. Dolan of Bethel and later became owner of Drywall Associates in Newtown. He retired in 1987, at which time he and his wife moved to Florida, where they enjoyed many happy years together.
A World War II veteran, Mr Deluca served with the 82nd Airborne and was awarded the Purple Heart.
His wife of 63 years, Margaret (Tomascak) Deluca of Boynton Beach; son, John Deluca of Gaylordsville; daughters, Diane Cunningham and Gail Dawson, both of New Milford, and Brenda Deluca of Boynton Beach; grandchildren, Michelle Betolatti, Lisa Deluca, Dan Deluca, Matthew Bogues, Ryan Bogues, Brandon Bogues, Emily Dawson, and Connor Dawson; and a great-grandchild survive him.
His granddaughter, Heather Marie Bogues; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Deluca, predeceased him.
There will be a service celebrating his life at the convenience of the family.
