Marygold’s On Main has announced limited seatings for its opening at the former Inn at Newtown, 19 Main Street, beginning at 4 pm on Saturday, January 9.

According to the latest post on the business’s Facebook page, co-owner Kate Neugold said, “We have spent an entire year bringing this special place back to life, and we couldn’t be more excited to open our doors and welcome everyone back.

“Due to the current situation of the world,” she added, the restaurant is only doing 50 seats a night. “Over time, we will increase our seating capacity.”

Neugold told The Newtown Bee this week that dining area seating is by reservation only, while the bar offers first come, first served seating for walk-in patrons.

Neugold said in the coming weeks, hours and offerings will be expanded and a Sunday brunch menu is in the works. For now, reservations are being accepted online through Open Table and the restaurant’s website, marygoldsonmain.com.

The restaurant will be closed on Mondays.

“Thank you to our incredible team who has not stopped working so hard and overcame every hurdle thrown our way this past year,” Neugold wrote. “We love you and are so proud to be a part of this with you all.”

That team includes head chef Derek Kustanbauter, beverage director Kyle Mastropietro, general manager Johnny Torres, sous chef Steve Roth, director of service Nicole Avrin, and director of events Patty McCartney.

Anyone with questions is asked to send a message via Facebook, or to e-mail kate@marygoldsonmain.com.

Good Old Days Pizza, a pizzeria and pub operated by Matteo Stanz and Dan Rooney, opened December 30 in the lower level of the facility. A select number of patrons had the opportunity to enjoy a limited Christmas brunch takeout menu offered by Kate and her husband, co-owner and chef Clark Neugold.
