‘Unity In Diversity’ Programs Preview

Unity and Diversity, a cable television program that can be seen by residents of 17 towns in the greater Newtown area, is an educational experience in learning about one’s neighbors, especially through a clearer understanding of their religious heritage, spiritual values and human culture.

Programs are aired at noon on Mondays and at 5:30 pm on Wednesdays throughout the 14 towns of the Charter Communications viewing area on CommuniTyVision 21 (channel 21). Programs will also be viewed on Comcast Cable (Channel 23), on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6 pm and 11 am respectively.

On February 13 and 15, Chaplain Kendall Palladino, the director of bereavement and spiritual services for Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, will be the featured guest.

On February 20 and 22, viewers will view Father Luke Mihaly of the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Danbury.

This program will be followed on February 27 and March 1 by an interview with Father Brian Gray, pastoral care staff at Danbury Hospital.

On March 8 and 10, viewers will see the 2006 Christian Unity Service that took place at First Congregational Church of Danbury. The program producer and host is The Reverend Leo McIlrath, coordinator of Corpus Christi: An Ecumenical Catholic Faith Community.
