Holistic Expo At WestConn

DANBURY — The third annual Connecticut Holistic Health Fair will be held at Western Connecticut State University on Saturday, April 9, from 10 am to 5 pm.

The expo will take place in Berkshire Hall on the midtown campus. Admission is $5 at the door. Students, alumni, faculty, and senior citizens are admitted free.

The Connecticut Holistic Health Association is partnering with WestConn’s Institute for Holistic Health Studies to host the event. The goal is to educate the public on the benefits of holistic health and to create a student scholarship fund.

Also planned is an April 7 program featuring Dr Judith Orloff who will speak on “The Power of Intuition and the Positive Energy To Heal,” at 7 pm in the Ives Concert Hall. A book signing will follow.

Dr Orloff is assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at UCLA and author of the best-selling book Positive Energy: 10 Extraordinary Prescriptions for Transforming Fatigue, Stress & Fear Into Vibrance, Strength & Love. She believes that the future of medicine lies in using intuition to access the body’s subtle energies for greater wellness.
