Loved Family

James V. Carroll, 64, of Westfield, Mass., died April 17 at Noble Hospital. He was born in Danbury on February 8, 1943, to Vincent F. and Sophie T. (Daunis) Carroll.

Mr Carroll leaves his mother, Sophie T. Carroll, and a brother, Thomas Carroll, both of Newtown; four sisters, Kathleen Ferris of Newtown, Margaret Jensen of Topsham, Maine, and Sharyn Demers and Mary Carroll, both of Brookfield; his children James V. Carroll, Jr, of Palmer, Mass., Jill P. Gauthier of Bristol, R.I., Jennifer C. Willard of Westfield, Mass., and Michele A. Carroll of Holyoke. He also leaves his eight loving grandchildren who brought him great joy; and his former wife Nancy (Page) Carroll O’Brien of West Springfield.

Mr Carroll was a 1961 graduate of Newtown High School. He moved to Springfield, Mass., in 1969 and has lived in Westfield since 1975. He was employed as a salesman for the former Casey Chevrolet of Chicopee for many years and later at Bob Pion Pontiac in Chicopee.

Mr Carroll was US Naval Veteran and enjoyed golfing hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s sporting events.

The funeral and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
