Cassio Pet Training Center Hosts Doggie Fun Zone

Cassio Pet Resort & Training Center, 173 Mt Pleasant Road, will host the Doggie Fun Zone, along with its creator Lee Rebalko, May 17–24. The proceeds will benefit the Spay and Neuter Association of Newtown and the Danbury Animal Welfare Society.

Dog owners are invited to bring their show dog, couch dog, or best friend dog. This event requires no prior training or experience.

This is a timed fun and run competition event in which dogs chase an elusive lure down straight-aways and around soft corners. While running the course, the dog traverses through, jumps over, or crawls under various obstacles. The course is designed for all temperaments and size dogs from a miniature Dachshund to a Rottweiler.  The dogs run the course twice, once for practice and the second is timed. The cost is $12.

Upon request, your dog’s performance will be captured by a high-speed sports camera and a full HD resolution video camera that will post your dog’s run on YouTube.

Through the generosity and support of many local businesses, gift cards will be given to the owners of the fastest running large and small dog on each day.

The Doggie Fun Zone will be open daily, weather permitting, 10 am to 7 pm, in the outside fenced training yard at Cassio.
