Occupation: I am an early retiree from a career in mortgage banking. I retired in July 2021.

Family: My husband is Mario, my daughter is Leah, and my son is Mario IV.

Pets: We have two dogs, Gunner and Yogi, and two ponies, Tyler and Fiona.

How long have you lived in Newtown? For 24 years.

What do you like to do in your free time? I am an avid gardener; I enjoy working and caring for my many perennial gardens. I love to knit and go on hikes, and I am the lead singer in a busy gigging band.

What is your favorite book? There are many books I have enjoyed; however, The Thornbirds comes to mind as being my all-time favorite.

What is your favorite travel destination? The Gulf Coast of Florida. We try to get there once a year.

What is the best part about Newtown? There are many great things about Newtown. For me, Main Street is so beautiful and represents the beauty and charm of this town. Driving up and down Main Street never gets old.

What organizations are you part of in Newtown? I actively participate in many things offered through Parks and Recreation, including the Hiking Club and a knitting class I just completed. I used to be a member of the NBLA (Newtown Bridle Lands Association) when I had my riding horses that have both since passed.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My grandmother, whom I was named after. She taught me how to cook, how to understand life and its many challenges, how to forgive, and how to laugh. I think of her in almost everything I do.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? Princess Diana. I always thought she was a fascinating woman. I was truly heartbroken when we lost her so suddenly and tragically.

Who is your favorite musical artist? Hands down, Stevie Nicks.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? Try to put yourself together a bit before heading out, you never know who you might run into. I can think of a few times I wished I had listened to this advice.

What is something you cannot live without? My music. I sleep better at night after singing my heart out.

What is your proudest accomplishment? Including being a mom to two wonderful kids, overcoming my fear of singing in front of people was a major accomplishment. I waited until my youngest went to college to give it a try. I had this giant void when Mario went off to school, so I went and joined a rock and roll band.
