Chambers Join In Business After Hours

In celebration of 60 years in business, the Stony Hill Inn hosted the latest joint chamber networking event for members and guests of the Newtown and Bethel Chambers of Commerce on Monday, May 23. The event was held as part of the Stony Hill Inn’s effort to celebrate its successful, long-established commitment of excellence to the greater Danbury community.

As attendees enjoyed appetizers and cocktails, they were given a warm welcome and invited to tour the restaurant and catering facility. Banquet and Event Coordinator Virginia Jansen presented an overview of the opportunities available for family and business entertainment including weekly Friday night buffets and Sunday brunch offerings. For more information call 743-5533, extension 249.

Newtown business professionals have been able to expand their networking contacts through a series of combined-Chamber Business After Hours events. Dave Braga of David M. Braga Technology Services, observes, “The more people you meet, the more contacts you make, the more potential business you can generate. An added bonus is the great camaraderie you find socializing with people that are facing the same concerns you do.”

The chambers are dedicated to the promotion and encouragement of the business community by actively supporting the expansion of business opportunities on behalf of its members through marketing, networking programs, community-sponsored events, and involvement in local economic development. For more information about the Newtown chamber call 426-2695; for Bethel, call 743-6500.
