Charles M. Goodman, III

Charles Mason “Skip” Goodwin, III, 55, of Valley View Road, Newtown, died July 22 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy Evans Goodman.

Mr Goodman was born in Miami, Fla., January 11, 1948, a son of Anne Dorworth Goodman of Orlando, Fla., and the late Charles M. Goodman, Jr. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee.

He had been a resident of Newtown for 12 years and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He was employed as an Information Systems Manager at IBM in Southbury for the last eight years. He had previously been employed by Texaco Oil Company for 25 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Charles M. “Chad” Goodman, IV, and his fiancée, Anna E. Bain, both of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Farracy (Goodman) Richmond and her husband, Justin, of Vancouver, B.C., Canada; his brother, William D. Goodman of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Mary G. Frasier of Haines City, Fla.; as well as six nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held at Trinity Episcopal Church, Newtown, July 25, with the Rev Kathleen Adams-Shepherd officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation, 4 Oxford Road, Unit DI, Milford, CT 06460.
