Free Training In Human Services

WOODBRIDGE â The Marrakech, Inc Academy for Human Service Training is offering a 12-week training program. This unique training program, which includes both classroom-based education and hands-on internship, prepares people to work with individuals with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities.

The program goal is to place people in full-time employment in the human service field. Information sessions are every Wednesday at 3 pm at 47 Woodtick Road in Waterbury. Program participants must meet Workforce Investment Act guidelines as the program is funded through the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board. Call 203-754-5298 for more information.

Lamont also elected to shutter the trash-to-energy plant in Hartford creating a twofer: trash crisis and energy crisis.
